Saturday Night
First of all, I'd like to say hello to all of the people who have found me when searching for Josiah. I appreciate your nice comments and well wishes. In your honor, I will answer a few of the most common Josiah-related questions:
1 - I was trying to contact Josiah, but I ended up here. How can I contact him?
You can reach him at his myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/josiahleming.
2 - Did you know he was living in his car?
We did not know he was living in his car at that time, but we did know before the show aired last week.
3 - What do you think of the British accent?
Actually, I do not notice the accent when he speaks or sings. I guess I am just accustomed to hearing him.
4 - Why is he separated from his family? Don't you love him?
I love Josiah very much, and he is very close to his family. There are no musical opportunities near us, so he wants to be near a larger metropolitan area where he can play his music and make better contacts.
5 - How do you feel about his lifestyle?
I don't always agree with the decisions he makes, but I respect the fact that it is his life and I am 100% behind him all the way.
Okay, on to health news:
Don and I will be leaving on Monday to head to Nashville for my appointments at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and Wednesday. I will be seeing the oncologist, the hip/femur surgeon, and the spinal surgeon. I will also be having a slew of tests.
On Friday (the 15th), we will see my new oncologist in Knoxville to make my final treatment decision.
I really hate the way those appointments wear me out, mentally, physically, and emotionally. They make me FEEL like a cancer patient!
Please pray that we will get all of the data we need to make the best decision for my future.
:-) Sharon

Hi Sharon! You are so funny because while I heard the accent in his voice I do not hear it in yours so who knows where he picked it up or why? Sometimes our children just have to live there lives their way whether we like it or not. I know you are a great mom and family! Hugs and smiles to you all!
hey sharon! i think you've got to be the coolest mum on earth. it must be hard not seeing him for weeks at a time. anyways, i'm sending love and prayers all the way from singapore(if you've ever heard of it!)! and i found your blog through josiah's fan threads too, i think he's an awesome singer, you must be very proud. so hang in there! you'll get better, i know it. :))
I hope everything is going well in Nashville. Take Care!!
here via josiah - he's absolutely lovely and i'm glad he has such a supportive, loving family.
just taking a look around now...i just have to say you have a wonderful way with words.
love to you and yours.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I will add you to my prayers. I found your blog because of your son, Josiah. His voice is unique and makes me happy. Hope he continues to grow and make more music. He's blessed to have a mom like you!
Hi Sharon! You rock, girlie! be strong, always. You know I think of you often.
I've had such fun sharing this AI experience with Josiah. He's a heck of a kid!
He just called me to tell me he's going to be on the Ellen Show. That is a very big deal. No other pre-24 contestant has ever gotten that opportunity.
I pray every day that good things are around the bend for him, and for your family.
xoxo

I hope your cancer will completly go away and stay away! I will be praying for you. And the next time you talk to Josiah, tell him he's got fans out there, and he should always keep folling his dreams! He's an amazing singer, and he seems like a sweetheart too. You did a good job! :) Take care!

You are wonderful, given what you and your family been through. I am a fan of Josiah (such a cliche!) and live in China (so he is not only American Idol). I read that you love butterfly. In China, we say the seemingly short yet splendid life of a butterfly is essentially eternity (a zen thing). Just wanna share this with you... You have my best wishes and prayers!
Your son's music has touched the hearts of many. I'm from the other side of the world (Japan) and his auditions were absolutely brilliant.
I've read through your wonderful blog and you're a beautiful and strong woman and you have a great family. My best wishes and prayers to you and your family.
